The Edict of Milan
What was the edict of Milan? In 313 AD, Constantine the Great created the Edict of Milan. The edict of Milan proclaimed that Christians and "unspecified" others can practice their own religion and worship as they please. The Edict of Milan also proclaimed that all property will be returned that was previously confiscated. The Edict of Milan declared FREEDOM of religion. It also said that people are not allowed to torture or matryr people of other religions.
This helped because all the Christians got their property back. |
